Training is currently provided via our team of Observers on a 1-to-1 basis, simply join IAM RoadSmart and our Observers will help prepare you for the IAM RoadSmart Test.
Training and Observation is broken down into 3 sections (detailed below), which will be addressed as you progress through your observed drives with one of our qualified local group Observers.
Section 1
- Overview, covering observation and safety, all based on Roadcraft (the Police Driving Manual).
- Advanced Driving System of Car Control.
- Proper use of controls leading to a safer, smoother journey.
Section 2
- Cornering, Signalling, Positioning
Section 3
- Overtaking
- Multi lanes
- How to conduct yourself safely when encountering an emergency vehicle.
