Martyn McCarthy will be talking about “A view from the Bench – drink and drug driving”. The talk’s aim is to demystifying what Magistrates do, particularly when they deal with drink and drug drivers, by explaining the offences, the penalties and working through a real case as reported in the papers. It also addresses a topical issue, penalty points and totting disqualifications, as highlighted in recently in the press.
